The Beginning of Kia Ora 26
Auckland is gearing up to host the Kshatriya World Cup once again, having launched its campaign at the 2023 event in Brisbane. After 20 years, it’s our turn to bring this prestigious event back home. The Kshatriya World Cup (KWC) has grown significantly since its inception, expanding beyond just soccer to include sports like Golf, Kids Soccer, and Women’s Soccer. To further encourage women’s participation, Auckland will be introducing a new women’s sport at Kia Ora 26.
As the number of participants in sports increases, so does the interest from spectators. In recent years, the tournament has attracted visitors from countries such as the USA, Canada, and England. It has become a fantastic social event, where people from around the world come to experience and enjoy the vibrant Kshatriya Culture. Different countries have embraced our culture in unique and colorful ways, adding to the tournament’s charm.
The Kshatriya World Cup has become an integral part of the Kshatriya Identity. Hosting the event in Auckland in April 2026 promises to be the largest tournament ever organized by the Kshatriya Society of New Zealand. The excitement is building, and we’re expecting a grand event! Our community is united in showcasing our renowned Kshatriya hospitality to our guests.

Meet the Kia Ora 26 Hosting Committee
Our dedicated hosting committee, led by Minal Gulabdas, includes Dinesh Kumar, Mitesh Killa, Deepa Kumar, Mita Bulsara, Mohit Killa, Jilly Kumar, Rahul Khatri, Hemal Solanki, and Kalpesh Bhikabhai. The sub-committee features Roopesh Govind, Hemal Bhikabhai, and Tejas Lallu. This team is pouring their heart and soul into fundraising, planning, and preparing for various elements of the event.
Mark Your Calendars: Tournament Dates and Venue
⛳ Golf: Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 at Maungakeikei Golf Club, Mount Roskill, Auckland.
⚽ Soccer: Friday, April 24rd – Monday, April 27th, 2026 at Trust Arena, Henderson, Auckland.
The committee is diligently planning the tournament program, including the opening ceremony, match schedule, breaks, other activities, and the gala night. Get ready for an exciting and engaging experience for everyone!
Sports at Kia Ora 26
Kia Ora 26 will feature Golf and two divisions of Soccer (Opens & Veterans) as the main events. We are also continuing Kids Soccer and Women’s Soccer. Additionally, we are exploring the introduction of a new Women’s Sport, which could be either Netball or Badminton. Communication has been sent to participating districts for feedback, and we will make a decision based on their responses.
In the coming months, the hosting committee will send official invites and confirm the number of teams from each district for all sports.
